The Westerhoff School of Music & Art offers studio classes to children ages 4 to 16 in drawing, painting and three-dimensional art.  This exclusive program allows up to eight students per lesson to develop their skills and techniques, as well as their unique style of expression.  This program includes age-appropriate Art Appreciation and Art History.  Several mornings per week, Pre-School art classes are offered.

Valentine Workshop
for the Whole Family!

Create a unique handmade card for your loved one, using fancy papers, ribbons, doilies, rhinestones, and much more. Victorian and contemporary verse samples will be available for romantic inspiration to complete your valentine.

Field Trip to Art Museum
Bus trip to Philadelphia's Magic Gardens
This trip includes a guided tour of this unique urban mural project and a hands-on tile making workshop for each participant.

The bus will leave Boro Hall at 10:00 am, returning to Metuchen by around 5:00 pm. The cost of the trip is $40 per person, which includes bus, tour and hands-on workshop, but not lunch.

THE ART DIRECTOR
 

Michaele Waring, a longtime Metuchen resident, is the school’s Art Director.  She has a degree in Fine Arts from Princeton University, has established the Metuchen Women’s Writing Group and is an active member in the Metuchen Cultural Arts Commission.  Ms. Waring is currently involved in creating illustrations for a children’s book series, as well as exhibiting in area art shows - Arto Alliance, Red Bank and Paul Roberson Art Center, Princeton.
