PHILOSOPHY AND HISTORY |

The Westerhoff School of Music & Art was founded in 1998 by Helga K. Westerhoff and began its first semester in September 1998. The school provides;
- A solid foundation that prepares students for careers in music or the visual arts
- A lifetime of music enjoyment and art appreciation
The curriculum is designed to deepen the love and understanding of music and to develop performance skills. It is also designed to develop skills in the visual arts. |

Student tuition is insufficient to cover the operating cost of the school and relies on contributions from generous patrons. We welcome financial support and will work with contributors for special performances and exhibitions.
The Westerhoff School of Music & Art is a not-for-profit (401-c) organization. |

On February 24, 2008 Helga Westerhoff, Westerhoff School of Music & Art Founder and Director, officially opened the new school with the assistance of Metuchen Mayor, Tom Vahalla. |
